The Spartans’ top running back target in the 2026 class has set a commitment date.
Jamal Rule of Charlotte will announce his college decision on Monday evening. Rule will officially announce his college decision at 6:30 p.m. ET per a social media post from him.
Rule announced a few days ago that an official commitment from him would be coming “soon” and it appears that is the case. In his previous announcement of his nearing decision, Rule also stated his four finalists are Michigan State, Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Syracuse.
Rule is rated as a three-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 87.26 in 247Sports composite system. He is ranked as the No. 48 running back and No. 778 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State hosted Rule for an official visit this past weekend so the Spartans had the last opportunity to impress him. He is, however, currently projected to pick Nebraska per 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions — so we will have to wait and see tomorrow how this thing shakes out.
