The Los Angeles Rams know who their 2025 opponents will be, just not when they’ll be played in the NFL schedule.
The full slate of games will be announced on May 14, and the Rams should garner a few primetime matchups on Thursday, Sunday night or Monday night. In 2024, they had five games. That should be on-par for the Rams’ 2025 schedule.
So, here are five Rams games the NFL should consider putting in prime time.
Any NFC West game
More than likely, at least one of the Rams’ six NFC West matchups will be a primetime game. The San Francisco 49ers are always a good bet to take on the Rams at a marquee slot, but the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals look feisty heading into 2025 and could offer exciting matchups.
Rams at Eagles
There’s a chance this game could open the 2025 NFL season anyway, meaning it would be in primetime. Regardless of when in the season it lands, though, this matchup should be one of the biggest games of the year. Rams at Ravens
These two teams have been among the best in their respective conferences for awhile and sparks fly when they play. The last time that happened in 2023, the Rams lost after a walk-off punt return touchdown in overtime. Plus, the Rams’ young defense needs to learn how to defend against a quarterback like Baltimore Ravens‘ Lamar Jackson.
Lions at Rams
This would be another revenge game for the Rams. Not only did L.A. lose to Detroit in 2024 season opener in overtime, but the Rams also lost to the Lions in the 2023 Wild Card round by one point. Oh yeah, and Round 3 of Stafford vs. Jared Goff.
Buccaneers at Rams
It’s always fun watching two divisional winners defend their crown the following year. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the fourth-highest scoring offense this past season and only lost offensive coordinator Liam Coen and wide receiver Chris Godwin (to injury, though he re-signed with the team). This could be a high-flying affair or a chance for both defenses to prove their grit against two NFC postseason contenders.
