CRETE, Neb. | The Briar Cliff baseball team split a pair of games with Doane in a Great Plains Athletic Conference doubleheader here Thursday.
Briar Cliff won the first game 4-0 with T.J. Egbarts pitching a six-hit shutout with four strikeouts. Nik Robinson went 2-for-3 from the plate with a double and two RBIs. Brogan Secrist went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Arnulfo Gutierrez drove in one run.
Doane (17-15, 7-3) won the second game 7-4. Tommy Anderson went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs. Bryan Guzman and Evan Germansky both drove in one run.
Jacob Hom drove in two runs for Briar Cliff (16-15, 5-7). Gutierrez and Avery Foltz both hit an RBI-double.
WINONA STATE 5-4, WAYNE STATE 4-8: The Wayne State baseball team split a pair of games with Winona State in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader on Thursday in Wayne, Neb.

Winona State won the first game 5-4. Derek Martin went 2-for-3 from the plate with three RBIs.
Bryce Bisenius hit a two-run homer for Wayne State.
Wayne State (9-15, 7-7) won the second game 8-4. Tanner Simons went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and four total RBIs. David Janes also drove in a run.
Chad Herbst went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo homer for Winona State (10-13, 9-7).
NORTHWESTERN 3-1, CONCORDIA 0-4: The Northwestern baseball team split a pair of games with Concordia in a Great Plains Athletic Conference doubleheader on Thursday in Blair, Neb.
Northwestern won the first game 3-0 with Noah McBride pitching a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts. Dustin Gaither hit a two-run double in the third inning and Michael Callahan hit an RBI-single in the fifth.
Concordia (16-13, 4-6) won the second game 4-1 with Cade Moring earning the win. Moring pitched six innings and allowed seven hits, one run, one walk and fanned 10. Dylan Jacob went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Christian Clear drove in two runs.
Mitchell Kresnik went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Northwestern (13-14, 6-4).
