Almost two dozen players and coaches from the 1989 and 1999 baseball teams reunited in April at N.C. Wesleyan to remember the school’s two Division 3 national championships.




The year was 1999. N.C. Wesleyan was playing in its third straight Division 3 College World Series.

But this year, the Bishops had a new head coach. Charlie Long was the new man at the helm when Wesleyan cruised through the field of eight teams in Salem, Va., en route to its second national title.
