ESPN reported Monday afternoon that wide receiver Malik Benson will enter the transfer portal with one year remaining of eligibility. The former JUCO transfer was a senior, but he will be allowed another college football season due to a new NCAA rule that began with Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia.

After two seasons at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, Benson became the #1 JUCO player in the country and went to Alabama. After one year with the Crimson Tide, he entered the portal and picked Florida State. He finished 2024 with 25 catches for 311 yards and one touchdown.
