Sydney Thomas, the ring girl who shot to fame after Mike Tyson’s clash with Jake Paul, has revealed that an SEC football coach tried ‘shooting his shot’ over social media.
Thomas, a student at the University of Alabama, became an overnight sensation following the Tyson-Paul fight in November.
She was soon bombarded with business offers from brands and it turns out the cream of college football have been in touch, too.
During an appearance on the ‘Like A Farmer Podcast‘, the 21-year-old answered several questions including the ‘craziest DM you’ve gotten since the Paul fight’.
She answered: ‘It was from another SEC football team coach and they just DM’d me: “Roll Tide”.’
Thomas would not reveal the coach’s identity. ‘I’m not going to say what coach it was but they’re an Alabama fan – now at least.
In the video, which is captioned ‘college coach shooting his shot’, she added with a laugh: ‘We’ll let everyone figure that out for themselves who it was.’
The Tuscaloosa girl now has over 1million followers on TikTok and close to a million on Instagram – all while she still attends the University of Alabama.
Last month, she swapped the boxing ring for the basketball court on and headed to Atlanta to take in her first ever NBA game.
The ring girl, who stole the show at the controversial Tyson–Paul fight, enjoyed VIP treatment as the Atlanta Hawks took on the Miami Heat at State Farm Arena.
The Hawks shared a photo of her courtside during the game, before Thomas quoted it and said: ‘First NBA game’ along with a tick emoji.
