ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Georgia running back Trevor Etienne officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Tuesday via Instagram.
Etienne, who transferred from Florida prior to the 2024 campaign, rushed for 609 yards (second on the team behind Nate Frazier) and scored nine touchdowns last season. He also caught 32 passes for 194 yards.
The announcement comes after his lone season at Georgia, where he played in just 10 games after missing the season opener due to a March DUI and missing two more due to a rib injury.
“Lastly, Dawg Nation, what a ride it has been!” Etienne’s post said. “Words cannot describe what this experience means to me. Your unwavering support is crucial — thank you for welcoming me with open arms. This past year has been nothing short of amazing. Having the opportunity to play Between the Hedges and coming away with a SEC Championship is a story only God could have written and for that, I am forever grateful.
“This journey has given me the experiences and exposure to prepare for the next chapter. With that being said, I am excited to announce that I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”
Before transferring to Georgia, Etienne played two seasons at Florida where he recorded 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns in 24 games. He led the Gators in 2023 with eight rushing touchdowns.
Georgia finished the 2024 campaign with an 11-3 record (7-2 SEC) and earned a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff before getting bounced by Notre Dame in the CFP Quarterfinal at the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2.
