Iowa State men’s basketball player Milan Momcilovic has suffered a hand injury and will miss Wednesday’s game against Kansas, Iowa State confirmed to the Des Moines Register.
He injured his left, non-shooting, hand during practice Tuesday. The sophomore will be out indefinitely, according to Iowa State.
This season, he is averaging 10.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 46.6% overall.
A sharpshooting threat for Iowa State, the 6-foot-8 wing leads the Cyclones with a team-best 44.3% shooting clip from beyond the arc. He has the second-most made 3-pointers on the Cyclones with 31.
Momcilovic has played in every single game for the Cyclones since the start of his freshman season.

He immediately cracked the starting lineup as a freshman and has been a starter in 51 of 52 games since. Last season, he was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team and the Big 12 Championship All-Tournament team.
The second-ranked Cyclones are 14-1 overall and 4-0 in Big 12 Conference play. They will play No. 10 Kansas on Wednesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.

Momcilovic averaged 10.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game last year while shooting 42.4% overall and 35.9% from deep. He also had an Iowa State freshman-record 61 3-pointers during that season, which ended with a 29-8 record and an appearance in the Sweet 16.
