Former Vol defensive lineman John Henderson was selected for induction to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2025.
He played for Tennessee from 1999-2001 under Hall of Fame head coach Phillip Fulmer. Henderson was a two-time consensus All-American from 2000-01. He won the Outland Trophy as the nation’s best interior lineman in 2000 and was a finalist for the award in 2001.
Henderson also earned SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2000 and was a two-time first-team All-SEC performer (2000-01).
He totaled 162 tackles, 38.5 tackles for a loss, 20.5 sacks, five fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles and seven pass breakups.
Henderson was selected in the first round of the 2002 NFL draft (No. 9) by Jacksonville. He played for the Jaguars from 2002-09 and for the Raiders (2010-11), earning second-team All-Pro honors in 2006.
