Big Ten Preseason Media Poll Prediction: No. 3 in conference

Before the season started, UCLA made significant waves in the transfer portal by adding notable players like: Louisville transfer Skyy Clark, USC transfer Kobe Johnson, Oklahoma State transfer Eric Dailey and Oregon State transfer Tyler Bilodeau. As a result, the Bruins entered the season ranked No. 22 in the preseason AP Poll and rose as to high as No. 15 after notable victories over Gonzaga and Oregon in December.
However, UCLA now finds itself on the wrong end of a four-game losing streak. And to make things worse, head coach Mick Cronin poured salt in the wound by taking shots at his own roster following a blowout loss to Michigan at home.
Cronin expressed frustration, stating: “We’ve got guys that think they’re way better than they are. They’re nice kids. They’re completely delusional about who they are. And, the team that’s mind is on the right stuff and hungry to get a win in conference play is the team that’s probably going to win.”
