Morning Briefing: Blue Jays Continuing to Talk to Anthony Santander

Good morning, Mets fans!

According to the New York Post’s Jon Heyman, the Blue Jays continuously talk to outfielder Anthony Santander while making progress, although nothing has been done yet. In 155 games with the Orioles last season, Santander batted .235/.308/.506/.814.

Heyman has previously linked Santander’s name to the Mets.

In a post on his official Instagram account, former Mets catcher Kevin Plawecki announced his retirement. Plawecki spent eight seasons in MLB, slashing .235/.313/.341/.654. It was recently reported that he was starting his coaching career in the Arizona Complex League for the Padres.
