COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M head baseball coach Michael Earley and 12th Man Hayden Schott spoke with the media Wednesday ahead of the 2025 season. The videos of their interviews can be found at the bottom of this article.
Earley covered a variety of topics, including how his first offseason as head coach has gone, how the team is handling their lofty expectations, how the starting pitching rotation is taking shape, why he selected Schott as the 12th Man and more.
Schott talked about being named the 12th Man, the progress he has made since undergoing surgery on a torn meniscus in his knee, coming one win away from winning the national championship last season and more.
Before their first season under Earley, the Aggies have garnered quite a bit of hype. They received the top spot in two of the most prominent preseason Top 25 college baseball polls: D1Baseball and Perfect Game.
A&M will open its season with a three-game home series against Elon, beginning on Feb. 14 (6 p.m.) in Blue Bell Park. The Aggies also will hold an open intrasquad scrimmage – an inaugural event dubbed as the “First Pitch Game” – on Feb. 8, beginning at 4 p.m. in Blue Bell Park.
