TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Opening day may be delayed for the Tallahassee State College baseball team, but it’s in sight. Instead of Friday, Sunday is now the big day for the Eagles.
For head coach Bryan Henry, it’s a chance to showcase what’s ahead for TSC. He said this year they’ve focused on getting back to good pitching and good defense.
He’s been happy with their work so far, and to have a chance to showcase themselves in just a few short days is exciting.
“We’re pumped. Finally the season opener is here,” he said Thursday. “The silver lining for us is on a weekend, on a Sunday might be more fans that come out than on a Friday at 2:00. Guys are excited, we’re excited. They’ve been working really hard for opening day.”
First pitch for that season opener is Sunday at 1:00 against Andrew College.
