LSU athletic department hires former staffer to lead NIL efforts

LSU football upped its NIL operation with a new addition on Thursday.

Per a report from CBS Sports and 247 Sports, Keava Soil-Cormier will return to Baton Rouge in an NIL-related role in the Tigers’ athletic department. She takes the role following two years at Baylor in a similar position. LSU has made strides when it comes to recruiting and NIL over the last year. With this move, LSU is looking to maintain its spot in the college football arms race.

Before joining the Bears in 2022, Soil-Cormier worked with LSU Football for seven seasons and ended her first stint as the assistant director of recruiting operations. She was a part of the team during its 2019 national championship run.

Soil-Cormier started in Waco, TX as the Associate AD for Player Personnel and oversaw recruiting operations. As of June 2024, she moved into a newly created position as the Associated Athletic Director for NIL Administration and Pro Relations. The LSU alumnus oversaw player relations as the NIL liaison.

At Baylor, Soil-Cormier worked under former LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda.

A native of Lafayette, LA, Soil-Cormier earned two degrees from LSU. She competed her bachelor’s degree in 2011 and Juris Doctorate in 2014.
