TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Pittsburg State University pitcher, Seaman grad, Kolby Dougan was named the MIAA Pitcher of the Week on Monday, Feb. 3.
The former Kansas Jayhawk retired 14 of the first 16 batters he faced in his debut with the Gorillas on Sunday, Feb. 2, against MSU Denver at Edmond, Okla.
The graduate transfer held MSU Denver hitless over the first 4.2 innings of play while striking out 11 among his first 14 outs.
Dougan pitched 5.0 innings, allowing one run on two hits with 12 strikeouts. The right-handed pitcher’s outing helped Pitt State secure an 11-2 win.
