College basketball saw two key losses on Tuesday as Kentucky fell to Ole Miss in Oxford and Michigan State returned from a West Coast trip 0-2. UCLA took down the Spartans, handing them just a second Big Ten loss on the season.
To reflect those games, the CBS Sports Top 25 and 1 was updated by Gary Parrish. There is some massive movement throughout, with Kentucky being the biggest difference with a fall of 10 spots.
As a result, the latter half of the top 10 has a completely different look. Fascinating to see as the college basketball calendar gets deeper into the month of February. You can check out the entire top 25 and 1 from CBS Sports below.
Auburn continues to roll through SEC play, starting a perfect 9-0. Tuesday was the latest win with Oklahoma coming to the Plains but heading back to Norman with a 28-point loss.
The next two Saturdays will test whether or not Auburn will remain at the No. 1 overall spot. Florida comes to town this upcoming week while Feb. 15 is the long-awaited matchup against Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Just one team has been able to knock off Auburn to this point and even so, Duke currently stands behind the Tigers. Cooper Flagg has been brilliant for the entire season and appears to only be growing with confidence.
Duke has not faced much competition in ACC play, highlighted by a blowout victory over arch-rival North Carolina. An undefeated record vs. conference foes is certainly possible for Jon Scheyer‘s club.
The performances have not always been pretty but Alabama has found ways to win. Only one loss continues to be on the SEC resume, dropping a game to Ole Miss that Nate Oats admitted to being embarrassed over.
Similar to Auburn, the punches are about to fly for Alabama. None more important than Feb. 15 in Coleman Coliseum, one everyone circled on their calendar.
A few eyebrows were raised when Tennessee took care of business Saturday. Zakai Zeigler did not play but thanks to a great defensive effort, the Vols took down Florida for an impressive win.
Home-court has been kind of Tennessee this season. Of the five remaining ranked matchups, just two are in Knoxville, beginning with Missouri on Wednesday.

The Tennessee loss has already been washed away by Florida. Vanderbilt came to Gainesville and what could have been a nervy contest turned into a comfortable 11-point victory.
Saturday is Todd Golden’s biggest test, traveling to Auburn. From there, just three ranked teams remain on the schedule and all of them are to close of the regular season.
Houston responded to a Saturday loss to Texas Tech by taking down Oklahoma State on Tuesday. As if life in the Big 12, a conference the Cougars are currently tied for first place in.
From a top 25 and 1 perspective, Houston is the first to benefit from the pair of upsets. Up four spots and now, safely inside the top 10.
Disaster was avoided Tuesday in Iowa City, heading back home with a nine-point win vs. Iowa. Tied at halftime, Purdue enjoyed a 54-point second half — including 31 points from Braden Smith — to stay away from an upset.
Purdue was previously at No. 11 but catapults to No. 7 in the latest update. Pushing for a one-seed in the NCAA Tournament is certainly possible if the late stages of the season play out well.

Battle of the Big East’s top teams took place at Madison Square Garden. Marquette fell on the short end as St. John’s catapults itself to the top of the regular season championship race.
Shaka Smart still has one of the best teams in college basketball, though. A slight dip to No. 8 in the top 25 and 1 is nothing to panic over.
Iowa State fell victim to something almost everybody in the Big 12 has. Winning at Allen Fieldhouse on Big Monday vs. Bill Self is nearly impossible as Kansas is now 39-0 on such occasions.
It’s now three consecutive losses for Iowa State, the first losing streak of the year. Some rest will be welcomed before having TCU show up at Hilton Coliseum on Saturday.
Winning by four against South Carolina on the road, Texas A&M held on for a scrappy SEC win. Being right before a week break, it’s one Buzz Williams takes on every occasion.
Nine games remain in the regular season but surprisingly, three of them are considered Quad 2 matchups. A new top-10 team in the top 25 and 1, the Texas A&M Aggies.
