Six Watertown High School seniors are part of a group of 17 area standouts who were involved in National College Signing Day for football on Wednesday.
Two of the Arrows, offensive lineman Micah Hach (South Dakota State) and defensive lineman Jayden Lambert (Dordt, Iowa) each officially signed during the early signing period in December. Hach is a 6-foot, 4-inch 285-pounder and Lambert 6-0, 245.
Four other Watertown players, who helped lead the Arrows to the state Class 11AA championship in November, have also finalized plans to play at the next level. The quartet includes linebacker Spencer Wientjes (South Dakota State), offensive lineman Karter Engels (Augustana Univeristy) and offensive lineman Nash Berg and defensive back Jeremiah Schulte (Dakota State).
Wientjes is 6-0, 215; Engels 6-6, 293; Berg 6-3, 250 and Schulte 6-0, 160.

- South Dakota State — Hamlin tight end Zac VanMeeteren (Hayti) and Mobridge-Pollock tight end Shane Henderson (Mobridge). VanMeeteren helped lead Hamlin to the state Class 9AA championship in November. Both players are listed at 6-6, 215.
- Northern State — Former Aberdeen Christian quarterback-kicker-punter Jackson Isakson is joining the Wolves after transferring from South Dakota State. Zach Smith, a freshman linebacker will also join the squad. Isakson is 6-2, 195 and Smith 6-0, 215.
- Sioux Falls — Wide receiver Donovan Rose of Sioux Valley High School in Volga. The 5-7, 165-pounder played running back in high school.
- Dakota State — DSU’s signees include Great Plains Lutheran linebacker Kowynn Muhl and Sioux Valley players Brock Christopherson, a linebacker, and Ayden Contreras, a defensive lineman. Muhl is 6-0, 195; Christopherson 5-10, 165; and Contreras 6-4, 235.
- Dakota Wesleyan — Defensive back Payton Chasing Hawk (5-10, 161) of Hitchcock-Tulare and linebacker Carson Reitz (6-1, 200) of Estelline-Hendricks.
- Valley City (N.D.) — Linebacker Dylan Rumpza of Waubay-Summit (6-0, 165).
