What’s the college football equivalent of a blockbuster trade?

The NBA’s trade deadline arrived at 3 p.m., but teams were busy long before then with a flurry of moves. At least one was just about impossible to believe, and it’s even harder for fans or just casual observers to move on without forming and sharing an opinion or an alternative. But people love to see or speculate on trades in any sport, as long as that sport allows trades. 

There are no such transactions in college sports, even as football and basketball seem to mimic the professional model with player contracts, negotiations, departures and arrivals. Maybe trades are coming. Probably not, but who knows anymore? In the video above, Josh Pate provides a sketch of how a college football trade would work right now. In the future?
