PORT ST. LUCIE — The oddest part of my job is advising billionaires how to spend their money. But most days, that doesn’t stop me.
Anyway, here goes.
This may be a long shot even for them, but Steve Cohen’s Mets should try hard for the Padres’ Dylan Cease. The dependable, dynamic righthander is well worth it in my estimation, and my C in Intro to Econ 45 years ago isn’t going to curtail me from saying so. (In other words, I will not Cease!)
Cease is as reliable as he is talented. He led the league in games started three of the past four years, and he came one strikeout short of National League leader Chris Sale last year, with 224 strikeouts.
