LSU went from winning the national title in 2023 with absolute superstars like Dylan Crews and Paul Skenes, to an up-and-down 2024 season with still some familiar faces like Tommy White, Hayden Travinski and Alex Milazzo.
Headed into 2025, the LSU Tigers have a new look, and will try to make it back to Omaha with its revamped roster. So, let’s get to know this year’s LSU team.
Starting with recognizable names — Jared Jones is back after slugging 28 home runs last season while hitting over .300. Stevan Milam is back for his sophomore season after emerging as a star and finishing last year hitting .326 with 8 homers. Michael Braswell and Jake Brown are back too.
Outside of that, there will be a lot of newcomers in the lineup. Daniel Dickinson is a new name to know, a transfer from Utah Valley after hitting .367 with 18 homers and 50-plus RBIs. He should be a big power threat for the heart of the lineup and play in the middle of the infield and he wreaks havoc on the base paths — he stole 32 bases last season.
Luis Hernadez is another transfer and power bat to know, the senior from Indiana State hit almost .360 last season with 23 bombs. He could likely be the replacement behind the dish for Milazzo.
And Chris Stanfield transferred from Auburn after hitting .276 last season, who’s another speedster to add to the lineup.

Some freshmen that could make an immediate impact are Derek Curiel, an outfielder who was named D1Baseball’s SEC Preseason freshman of the Year and Cade Arrambide (arram-bee-dee), the 2024 Texas Gatorade Player of the Year who’s another option at catcher and a power bat as well.
On the mound, Kade Anderson is back after a stellar freshman season with a 3.99 ERA, while Chase Shores should be back from injury. The biggest new name to know is Anthony Eyanson, a 6’2 right-hander from UC San Diego who had a 3.07 ERA last season with 85 strikeouts. He was one of the premiere portal pickups this offseason.
