NC State women’s basketball has a chance to make a serious move for first place in the ACC standings on Sunday.
The No. 12 Wolfpack (21-5, 13-2 ACC) will host No. 1 Notre Dame (24-2, 15-0) at the Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh. The game has become so important that ESPN’s “College GameDay” will also be on site for the matchup between the conference foes with a lot on the line.

Last week, “GameDay” made its way to Columbia, South Carolina, for a matchup between UConn and South Carolina. Despite the Huskies’ blowout win, the game still drew the third-most viewers on ESPN platforms for a women’s college basketball game.
Notre Dame defeated NC State 55-51 on March 10, 2024, in the ACC tournament championship game last season in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Wolfpack trail the all-time series 10-5, but they picked up a 59-43 win in a regular-season meeting in South Bend, Indiana, on Feb. 15, 2024.

On Sunday, ESPN’s “College GameDay” will air in Raleigh for the No. 12 NC State women’s basketball game against No. 1 Notre Dame. With three games remaining in the regular season, the Wolfpack trail the Fighting Irish by two games in the ACC standings.
The show will be live on ESPN from 11 a.m. to noon ET.
