No. 22 TCU Baseball enters today’s contest fresh off a loss to No. 5 Arkansas, its first loss of the season.
The game was close though, with TCU’s Tommy LaPour putting up a solid performance of five strikeouts in six innings. Arkansas’ Zach Root put up his own stellar performance, with 10 strikeouts in just five innings.
This would be the story of the entire game, with both teams doing a great job at what they need to do, but with Arkansas doing just slightly better.
On the other end, Kansas State baseball, which entered the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at 1-4 overall, has won both matchups in its series.
The highlight of its weekend so far has been felling the same Arkansas baseball team that beat TCU. Another close contest that ended with the Wildcats on top this time.
As both teams enter today’s matchup looking to add another a solid win to their schedules, Kansas State has already proved that it could beat anyone’s game.

TCU Baseball’s Chase Brunson was able to make it to first base on a fielding error, then advance to second on a wild pitch.
But the Horned Frogs’ inning was ended after a third strikeout in the inning from Sheffield.

The Wildcats get one batter on first after being walked, but that’s all.
TCU Baseball started with a strikeout and fly out, then quickly got a ground out to close the top.
