NYU women’s basketball celebrated their seniors this past weekend with wins against Carnegie Mellon and Case Western Reserve to add two more victories before going into its last game against Brandeis on the road.
Coming into last week, Bowdoin had already completed the undefeated regular season and was waiting to see if NYU and Scranton could do the same.
Although NYU did so, Scranton did not, as they lost the last game of the regular season to Elizabethtown by six points on the road.
Who Will Win It All?
- With teams either beginning or having already begun their conference tournaments, crunch time is on the rise, and it sets up the anticipation of the upcoming division tourney.
- This could be the time when a team that is not undefeated wins the national championship, in contrast to the signs pointing to a team with no losses, usually cutting down the nets.
- NYU could also be the first team to repeat as national champions since Amherst did it in 2017- 2018.
