COLBERT, Oklahoma (KTEN)- Another Colbert Leopard is headed to play college baseball. Cooper Burkhalter signed with Hesston College up in Kansas on Wednesday.
Burkhalter has been eyeing this day throughout high school. He even went to Puerto Rico this past year to play summer ball there.
And now, he’s excited to be part of a new chapter up at Hesston.
“I like the coach. He’s making that program really good one day at a time,” Burkhalter said. “As they’re transferring over to a four-year [program], they’re going to need the extra help, and I think he’s the guy for the job.”
