Southeastern Conference Tournament week has finally arrived for college basketball fans and Kentucky is in much better shape now compared to where they were last week.
The Wildcats picked up a blowout win over LSU and an upset at No. 15 Missouri to close out the regular season, finishing the year at 21-10 (10-8 in SEC play).
Mark Pope’s team saw a bump in the NET Rankings from No. 13 to now being No. 12 while they went from No. 16 to No. 13 in the DRatings. They’re currently sitting at No. 26 according to EvanMiya and slotted at No. 18 in the Haslametrics.
Kentucky should not only see their place in the Top-25 rankings increase today but they also vastly improved their SEC Tournament seeding with their two wins last week.
The Wildcats went from the No. 8 seed and having to face Auburn earlier in the tournament to now being positioned as the No. 6 seed.
Kentucky will face the winner of Georgia & Oklahoma on Thursday at 8:30 CT for the opportunity to play Alabama in the quarterfinals.
