‘College Football 26’ cover released by EA Sports, has Ohio State flavor to it

The entire gaming and college football world rejoiced last year when EA Sports was able to reboot its beloved College Football franchise. Since then, fans from Columbus to Tuscaloosa, to Athens and Ann Arbor — and beyond — have been overjoyed with playing as their favorite team against competition and dominating the virtual college football universe by mashing buttons and performing spin moves on College Football 25.

We finally got a piece of our hearts back when EA Sports made good on its promise to bring college football back into the gaming world, and with Name, Image and Likeness now hammered out as a thing, there doesn’t appear to be a stop sign in the road of the franchise taking a long pause like what we saw before.

In fact, EA Sports is already teasing the next release of the game, College Football 26, by sharing an early look of what the cover of the next edition will look like. And … as you would expect, with Ohio State conquering college football as the College Football Playoff national champions, there’s some Scarlet and Gray involved in the cover. Not only is Ryan Day featured in the crowd gathered for the leak, but so too is All-Universe wide receiver Jeremiah Smith as one of the prominent players in front of everyone else. Caleb Downs is also a face in the “team picture.”

If you haven’t had a chance to see what the cover of College Football 26 looks like, we are here to bring it to you thanks to the free app known as “X,” or the artist formerly known as Twitter (if you will). Take a gander at the beauty that is the cover of the new game coming to a gaming device near you soon.

I don’t know about you, but we sure had fun playing college football again and we’ll look forward to the next installment of all the shenanigans associated with College Football 26.
