DeMarcus Lawrence roasted the Cowboys, sparking a feud with Micah Parsons

In the NFL, there’s never a shortage of news… or drama. Such is the case for newly-minted Seattle Seahawks defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence. After eleven years with the Dallas Cowboys, Lawrence jumped ship to a new team and is reunited with defensive coordinator Aden Durde – his former defensive line coach in Dallas.

When a player spends over a decade with one team, they absolutely develop a fondness for the organization, city and region. Lawrence, while speaking to Brian Nemhauser of Hawk Blogger, was waxing poetic about Dallas… but he took a quick shot at his former team.

“A change in scenery is always good, but Dallas is my home. I made my home there, my family lives there, I’m forever going to be there. But I know for sure I’m not going to win a Super Bowl there, so yeah. We here.”

Ouch! I can’t imagine Cowboys fans like hearing those words coming from a franchise staple like Lawrence. I know for a fact his former teammate, Micah Parsons didn’t care for those comments. Parsons clearly took it personally, and let his feelings be known on Twitter.

However, Lawrence wasted little time responding to Parsons, and had quite the comeback.

It is a shame the Seahawks and Cowboys are not currently slated to play one another during the 2025 season, as this would be arguably the biggest storyline headed into that game.

Although, there’s nothing saying these two teams couldn’t meet in the playoffs…
