Florida State baseball begins ACC play this weekend with a three-game home series against Boston College.
The No. 5 Seminoles lost to Florida 7-2 on Tuesday, the team’s first loss of the season. It looks to bounce back with a home series against a tough Eagles team.
FSU will state Joey Volini on Friday, allowing Jamie Arnold an extra day of rest after being scratched from his start last week. Volini struck out 11 in seven innings of work in his start last week.
The Seminoles will play a doubleheader on Saturday to avoid severe weather coming into Tallahassee this weekend. Arnold will start game one and Wes Mendes is scheduled to start game two.
First pitch of game one is slated for 6 p.m. on Friday.
