INDIANAPOLIS – The Fran McCaffery era in Iowa City has come to a conclusion.
It was announced on Friday that McCaffery would not be returning to be the men’s basketball coach for the Hawkeyes and that Iowa would immediately begin a national search.
It’s a new age in Iowa City as the next coach looks to build on what McCaffery helped re-establish as he took over the program at a dire time, and brought it back up to national relevancy.
Now, what is to be expected moving forward for Iowa with the dismissal of McCaffery?
