VCU leads George Mason in Atlantic 10 championship at halftime
In the Atlantic 10, VCU leads George Mason at the half, 36-28.
Jack Clark has a game-high 13 points for the Rams, shooting 2-of-4 on 3s. Brayden O’Connor has seven points for the Patriots, followed by six from Darius Maddox.
The Bulldogs have punched their ticket! They withstood multiple second-half rall by Cornell to win the Ivy league tournament and lock up a spot in March Madness.
John Poulakidas led the Bulldogs with 25 points, shooting 5-of-9 from 3. Nick Townsend followed with 19 points. Yale went 13-1 in the Ivy League and 22-7 overall.
AK Okereke paced Cornell with 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Nazir Williams added 20 for the Big Red, who finished 9-5 in the Ivy and 18-11 overall.
Yale is putting the Ivy League championship game away at the free throw line with four by John Poulakidas and two from Casey Simmons. The Bulldogs lead 90-81 with seven seconds remaining.
HALFTIME: Florida 39, Tennessee 30

Cornell working its way back
Yale opened up a 55-39 lead on a 3 from John Poulakidas.
But Cornell has chiseled away at that margin on a 3 from Cooper Noard, a basket by Jake Fiegen and two free throws by AK Okereke.
The Big Red trail, 76-72, with 3:29 remaining in regulation.
Florida shook off those blocks by Felix Okpara, answering with another 3 from Will Richard. The Gators now have a 25-17 lead as play stops with a TV timeout.

Rueben Chinyelu has picked up his second foul for Florida after Zakai Zeigler reached in to steal the ball from him in the post.
That was followed by two straight blocks by Felix Okpara in the post on Alex Condon.
Vols getting in foul trouble
Igor Milicic Jr. and Chaz Lanier have both picked up their second personal fouls with 10:30 remaining in the first half.
Cornell nails 4 consecutive 3s
The Big Red is showing big range from behind the arc. Cornell has made four consecutive 3-pointers. Yet they still trail Yale, 60-53, as the Bulldogs’ Trevor Mullin countered with a trey of his own.
3s still flying in Nashville
Tennessee’s Chaz Lanier and Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr. exchange 3s and the pace is moving at Bridgestone Arena. Gators lead, 13-9.

Tennessee and Florida have tipped off and the Vols have opened the game with consecutive 3-pointers by Zakai Zeigler and Igor Milicic Jr.

Tennessee, Florida split regular season series
Tennessee and Florida split their two matchups during the regular season.
The Gators blew out the Vols in Gainesville, 73-43. But Tennessee won decisively on their home court, 64-44.
Florida comes into Sunday’s SEC championship game at 29-4 overall and 14-4 in the SEC. Tennessee has a 27-6 mark, 12-6 in conference.

Cornell and Yale are in a tight matchup midway through the first half in the Ivy League championship game. The Big Red’s AK Okereke gave the Bulldogs a fine “Good afternoon!” with a ferocious dunk along the baseline.
