CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (7-9, 2-4 ACC) will host a pair of mid-week contests this week, Sacred Heart (9-8, 4-2 MAAC) on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., and Northeastern (11-6, 0-0 CAA) on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., with both games at Boston College’s Harrington Athletics Village.
The Eagles are 3-0 all-time against Sacred Heart, winning their most recent matchup, 8-7 in March 2023, with all three matchups taking place at BC. In the last meeting between the teams, Patrick Roche went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored, including an RBI double. Vince Cimini and Owen Deshazo each added RBI knocks in the win.
Boston College’s baseball history with Northeastern dates back to 1966, when the Huskies won the series’ first matchup, 9-3. The sides have met 102 times since then, with the Eagles holding a 61-40-1 all-time advantage. The Eagles and Huskies played twice in 2024, with Northeastern taking both contests. The Huskies won the most recent matchup, 7-0 in the 2024 Beanpot Championship at Boston College.
The Eagles are coming off their second ACC weekend at No. 5 Florida State, where the Seminoles swept the series. Following the pair of mid-week games, the Eagles will host North Carolina in their ACC home opener on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., the first of three games against the Tar Heels.
