3. Career year in 2023

James’ best season of his career came in 2023, where he emerged as one of the most reliable centers in the league.

He got the start in 16 games that season, posting career-bests all across the board in PFF grades.

James ranked eighth among all centers with at least 500 snaps that season with a 74.6 offense grade and 71.2 pass-blocking grade, and was 10th with a 75.0 run blocking grade.

4. Back in Los Angeles

James is coming back to Southern California, where he spent his college days as a Bruin.

The offensive lineman was a four-year player at UCLA, where he started 32 games at a variety of positions.

He first took over the right tackle spot for seven games in 2016 before assuming the position full time the following season. Then in his final year of college during the 2018 season, James flipped and held down the other side at left tackle.

5. Hails from Utah

Aside from being a four-star recruit out of Herriman High School in Utah and an all-state player by some media outlets, James also excelled in another sport during his prep days.

James was a member of the track and field teams at his school and was a multiple time state champion in shot put, surpassing the 61-foot mark during his senior year.
