As usual, Arkansas’ Matt Zimmerman brought the energy before, during, and after the Razorbacks’ big win over Pitino and St. John’s. Coach Z’s pregame video warned fans to watch how the game would be called, although I’m not sure anyone could have possibly expected the look-at-us whistles both teams had to endure (Arkansas more than St. John’s).
Zimmerman was right again in his postgame analysis. “Hogs were better’n them. Razorbacks were a better basketball team.”
Saturday’s game was no upset. Much like the first-round win over Kansas, Arkansas simply had better players and, as it turns out, still has a great head coach. The Razorbacks earning a 10 seed in the tournament was justified, but very, very unfortunate timing for the 7 and 2 seeds found in their region. It’s not a cinderella story when everyone talking about your team praises its length and freakish athleticism.
Arkansas is exactly where it was supposed to be when the season began. It’s everyone else who’s just now figuring out how a team that looks this good could possibly be a 10 seed.
Count It Allllllll Joy
Razorbacks the better team
DEFENSE.
21/75 shooting. Great Defense

There is a team like @RazorbackMBB each season it seems. The team is seeded to its resume, not to its talent (which is the committee’s charge). The Hogs dealt with a lot of injuries and early inconsistencies. But they always had this potential. Terrific run, thus far, by knocking…
