PULLMAN — A mere two practices remain in Washington State’s first spring football season under head coach Jimmy Rogers, and after a scrimmage Saturday and two full-contact days upcoming, QB Zevi Eckhaus tells Cougfan.com that Tuesday’s practice was of the lighter variety. Contact was minimal as the team donned but helmets and shorts.
“We just focused on more team-oriented situations,” Eckhaus said. “Whether that was base downs, motions, trade shifts, third downs, goal line, red zone, just a bunch of different situations from a team perspective. Took a little bit of the load off today and just made sure we were very detailed on what our responsibilities were from a schematic standpoint. It was more of like a jog through, run through emphasis. You gotta have some type of speed in order to show that you’re taking your responsibility.”
