Daytona State College on Thursday, doubleheader on Saturday

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The Eastern Florida State College baseball team picked up a non-conference win Tuesday evening at Bruce Bochy Field.
The Titans improved to 24-17 on the season with the 6-4 victory over Seminole State College.
Eastern Florida State College got on the board first in the third inning and led 3-0 after four innings before Seminole State College scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning.
But the Titans fought back and scored three times in the bottom of the seventh inning as Jason Mack stepped up with two on and nobody out and hit an infield single that scored Richard Collazo. With the game tied, Jackson Wargo walks to load the bases and the Titans go to Bryce Pax who comes up big with a two-run single to right-center field.
Parker Trowbridge tossed two scoreless innings to pick up the win and then Jacob Goldman struck out three in the ninth inning to preserve the win.
Pax and Jeff Davis each drove in two runs while Mack went 2-for-3 in the win.
Eastern Florida State College won three of the five meetings with the Raiders this season.
Eastern Florida State College will open a Citrus Conference series against Daytona State College on Thursday. The Titans will travel to Daytona for the series opener Thursday at 3 p.m. and then the teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at Bruce Bochy Field. The doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. and admission is free.

The Titans begin the series 12-12 in the Citrus Conference and have won four of the past five games as they make a push to make the state tournament.
Eastern Florida State College has seven players hitting over .300 this season led by Jeff Davis who is hitting .362 in 28 games this season. Kevin Smith continues to lead the FCSAA in stolen bases with 37 which is also fifth in NJCAA Division I baseball.
Daytona State College is looking to get back on track as they have lost seven straight and are now 9-15 in the conference. The Falcons come into the series hitting .269 as a team led by Connor Guy who is fifth in the FCSAA with a .410 batting average. The outfielder has a hit in seven of the last eight games and leads the team with four triples.
Thursday’s game at Daytona State College will begin at 3 p.m. and will be shown live on WDSC-TV around the Daytona area. The series heads to Bruce Bochy Field on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is free to games at Bruce Bochy Field and fans can watch the games live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
