College Football: ECU holds first scrimmage of spring ball

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – As the third week of spring practice concluded, East Carolina Football held its first scrimmage this Friday at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

Katin Houser was held out of the action as he rehabs from his wrist surgery, but the offensive scheme did not change in his absence. The Pirates say they pushed tempo on offense with each unit, from starters down to walk-ons.

“Oh my goodness, it’s tough, teams in our conference certainly won’t be able to handle that,” Senior Defensive Lineman Zion Wilson said about playing against that pace.

Practice continues next week for ECU.
