Ohio State handed out rings commemorating last season’s national championship run during the spring game on Saturday afternoon.
About two dozen former players gathered at midfield at Ohio Stadium for a brief ceremony at the end of the first quarter.
The Buckeyes’ players and coaches each receive three rings from the postseason, one for their College Football Playoff appearance and two for the title. The championship rings were given by the playoff and the school.
The largest of the three rings included a piece of confetti from the final in Atlanta and scores from their playoff wins.
Receiving an at-large berth for the first 12-team playoff, Ohio State was seeded eighth and won four consecutive games for its first title in a decade.
The Buckeyes’ 34-23 win over Notre Dame on Jan. 20 clinched the championship.
