14th ranked Cochise College baseball has 16-game winning streak snapped in series loss to Arizona Western College

YUMA − The Cochise College Apaches baseball team saw its 16 game winning streak snapped and at the same lost its hold on first place in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference after losing two of three games to the Arizona Western College Matadors April 11-12 in Yuma.

Cochise, 40-10 overall, 21-9 in conference, and who on Monday slid from No. 10 in the NJCAA national poll to 14th lost game one of the series to Arizona Western 10-4 on Friday April 11, before losing game two, 9-2 later that same afternoon before winning game three on Saturday 7-6 in 14 innings avoiding the series sweep.
