Here’s a look at the NBA playoffs bracket before the NBA Play-In Tournament and before the first round of the 2025 NBA postseason.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and the Cleveland Cavaliers are the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Houston Rockets are the West’s No. 2 seed and the Boston Celtics are the East’s No. 2 seed.

NBA Play-In Tournament bracket
In the Eastern Conference, the No. 7 seed Orlando Magic host the No. 8 seed Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, April 15, with the winner of that game advancing to the first round to face the No. 2 Boston Celtics. The loser will face the winner of the No. 9 Chicago Bulls vs No. 10 Miami Heat matchup Wednesday on Friday, with the winner of that game advancing to play the No. 1 Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round.
In the Western Conference, the No. 7 seed Golden State Warriors play the No. 8 seed Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday, April 15, with that game’s winner advancing to take on the No. 2 Houston Rockets in the first round. The loser will take on the winner of Wednesday’s game between the No. 9 Sacramento Kings and No. 10 Dallas Mavericks on Friday, with the winner earning a matchup with the No. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.
