South Carolina transfer forward Nick Pringle signs with Arkansas basketball

South Carolina transfer forward Nick Pringle has signed with the Arkansas men’s basketball team, according to sources. 

On3’s Pete Nakos was first to report Pringle’s signing. 

Pringle, 6-10 and 220 pounds, started all 32 games and averaged 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds this season with the Gamecocks. In two games against Arkansas, he averaged 10.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2 steals. 

Pringle, who has one season of eligibility remaining, also reportedly received interest from Ole Miss, Kansas State, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Southern Cal, Auburn and others.   

He spent two seasons at Alabama prior to transferring to South Carolina. 

Pringle averaged 5.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 68 games played with the Crimson Tide. He helped Alabama to the 2023 Sweet 16 and matched a career-high 19 points with 15 rebounds in a 96-75 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the NCAA Tournament first round that year. 

He began his career at Wofford in 2020-21 before playing one season at Dodge City (Kan.) Community College. On3.com industry ranking lists Pringle a 4-star prospect and the No. 109 overall transfer. 

Pringle, who has yet to visit Fayetteville, is the first transfer to ink with Arkansas this offseason.
