Indiana has landed transfer portal prospect 6-foot-6 North Florida guard Jasai Miles.
This past season Miles averaged 15.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 33.5 percent from 3-point range.
Miles has two years of eligibility remaining.
Miles had interest from Michigan, St. John’s, Florida State, Pitt, Georgetown, Miami, Seton Hall and a number of others.
Miles was 78-for-233 from 3-point range, averaging 2.4 made 3s per game for the season.
In five games against high-major opponents — Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Nebraska and South Carolina — Miles averaged 11.8 points and 6.2 rebounds.
Miles is not a player who wastes possessions taking long 2s. Of his 402 field goal attempts against Division I opponents last season, 224 were 3-pointers, 136 were close 2s and only 26 were far 2s, per Bart Torvik.
Miles entered North Florida out of Miami (FL) Country Day. He took a major step in his game as a sophomore.
As a freshman at North Florida, he averaged 5.7 points, 0.8 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 0.8 made 3s per game.
As a sophomore, those numbers grew to 15.4 points, 1.9 assists, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 made 3s per game.
His effective field goal percentage went for 47.7 to 52.2 percent.
Miles helped North Florida knock off Georgia Tech 105-93 in its third game of the season. He scored 18 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out four assists.
He had 14 points and eight rebounds against Nebraska. He scored 13 points against eventual national champion Florida, but he did struggle from the field, going 3-for-12 from 3, but some of those came in the later stages of a 99-45 loss.
For the season, Miles had 15 games of three or more made 3-pointers and five games of four or more made 3-pointers.
Miles gives new Indiana coach Darian DeVries another player who has demonstrated an ability to be productive from the 3-point line.
On Tuesday the Hoosiers landed Lamar Wilkerson.
3-pointers made per game during the 2024-25 season by IU’s new transfer portal additions:
3.4 — Lamar Wilkerson
3.3 — Tucker DeVries
2.4 — Jasai Miles
1.1 — Conor Enright
0.5 — Reed Bailey
During the 2024-25 season, only one Indiana player (Luke Goode, 1.9) made more than 1.5 3-pointers per game, and only three IU players (Goode, Mgbako, Galloway) made more than 1.0 3-pointers per game.
IU now has six players on its roster for the 2025-26 season, player, position, previous school:
Jasai Miles, shooting guard, North Florida
Lamar Wilkerson, shooting guard, Sam Houston State
Reed Bailey, forward, Davidson
Tucker DeVries, forward, West Virginia
Conor Enright, point guard, DePaul
Trent Sisley, forward, Montverde Academy (high school)
