College football’s spring transfer window opened Wednesday, kicking off a 10-day period where players can freely enter the portal and communicate with coaches.

Offense (3)

TE Keayen Nead

Summary: After joining the team in January, the 6-foot-5, 262-pound former Weber State transfer projected as a starter and was considered the best blocker in a completely remade tight end room. But citing a desire to maximize his value, Nead re-entered the portal during the final week of spring practice, leaving UNM with just three tight ends. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

QB Emery Floyd

Summary: The 6-3, 195-pound quarterback appeared in one game on special teams last season, and opted to enter the portal after he was moved to wide receiver midway through spring practice. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

OL Matthew Toilolo

Summary: The 6-3, 326-pound redshirt sophomore saw action in 11 games last season as a reserve and special teams player. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Defense (3)

S Matthew Lashley

Summary: The 5-11, 184-pound redshirt freshman did not appear in a game last season. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

CB Devin Costello

Summary: The 5-10, 173-pound redshirt freshman did not appear in a game last season. He has four years of eligibility remaining.

DL Vincent Santos

Summary: The 6-2, 227-pound redshirt senior appeared in 11 games last season as a “rhino” tight end before being moved back to defensive line this spring. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
