Baseball: Alexandria College’s DaShaun Robinson throws perfect game

FERGUS FALLS — April 16, 2025, is a day pitcher DaShaun Robinson will never forget.

The New York Mills, Minnesota, native got the starting nod in game two of the Alexandria Technical and Community College baseball team’s doubleheader against the Minnesota State Community and Technical College Spartans (4-17) on Wednesday, April 16.

Robinson made the most of the opportunity, delivering the performance every pitcher dreams of for Alexandria College.

Robinson, a 6-foot-1 freshman, had the game of a lifetime as he threw a perfect game in Alexandria’s 5-0 win in Fergus Falls.

Robinson struck out 15 batters in seven innings.

Robinson threw 89 pitches on April 16, 63 of which were strikes.

Robinson pitched with a lead from the start, as the Legends scored two runs in the top of the first inning. Robinson struck out seven of the first nine batters he faced on April 16.

Alexandria College also had a strong pitching performance from Jonah DeJong in game one of the doubleheader.

DeJong, a Fargo, North Dakota, native struck out 10 batters in seven innings while only allowing three hits, three runs, and walking one batter in Alexandria College’s 9-3 win.
