College baseball: UW-Whitewater takes four at UW-Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT — While the streaking UW-Whitewater baseball team has a full complement of offensive weapons, senior outfielder Matt Scolan continues to stand out.

In four victories over the host Pointers during the holiday weekend, Scolan had eight hits in 20 at-bats, hit a pair of home runs, drove in seven while setting the UW-Whitewater school record for career hits with 260 and tying the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference record for career runs scored at 225.
