GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – A young football fan is showing off his talent of memorizing every NFL game going back to 2014.
Michael Wirth, a St. Norbert College sophomore, has an interesting talent.
Jamal James: “On September 10th, 2018, Green Bay versus Chicago.”
Michael Wirth: “That was a Sunday Night Football game, and that was a game that looked really bad at first. Then in the second half, Aaron Rodgers came back, threw three touchdowns. Packers ended up winning 24 to 23.”
He soaks in games, stats, and key moments like any fan would, but for Michael, it’s a bit different.
He has not only memorized every Packers game going back to 2014, but he has also memorized games for every 32 NFL teams.
He fell in love with the game over a decade ago and attended games with his father, Ken, and brother Kenny.
With all of that information, we had to test his knowledge.
JJ: “November 19th, 2018, Kansas City versus the Rams?”
MW: “That was definitely one of the best games I’ve watched. It ended up being an offensive shootout for the ages. 54-51. The Rams ended up winning.”
JJ: “Who won the 2015 Super Bowl and how?”
MW: “So, that would be the New England Patriots won against the Seattle Seahawks. 28-24. And of course, that was the one where Russell Wilson threw the interception at the end to Malcolm Butler.”
Now, he’ll have even more to memorize when he and his family check out the NFL Draft on Friday.
He says he can’t wait to soak it all in.
“It ended up being in a pretty good time. I mean if it was like 10 years later, I mean, I don’t know if I’d be in the area or whatever. So, it will be a fun experience for sure,” says Wirth.
