Quinn Ewers played quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. Before that, he was born in Southlake, Texas, and was apparently watching the 2025 NFL Draft from Chico, Texas.

He’s a Texas guy through and through, and if anybody on this planet ever doubted this fact for a second, well, we give you his backdrop for the NFL Draft. The former Longhorns signal-caller threw for 3,472 yards and 31 touchdowns last season in helping Texas get all the way to the College Football Playoff semifinals, and now he’s simply waiting for a new home in the NFL.

Ewers predictably wasn’t taken in the first round on Thursday night at the draft in Green Bay, but fear not, Ewers fans. That simply gave the football world, college football and NFL fans alike, the wonderful opportunity to witness the backdrop of the Ewers’ home in Chico, Texas, where Ewers was calmly waiting on Friday night for some NFL team to take a chance on him.

Ewers wasn’t playing make-believe for the whole Texas stereotype, apparently, he lives it for real, and his family is part of the fun.

Here is that memorable backdrop in Chico that screams Texas and hunting, with Ewers playing the role of the former Longhorns quarterback. It’s like it was made for central casting, only it was real, and the NFL Draft audience got to enjoy it. Fortunately for all of them, Ewers didn’t get taken on Thursday night.

Here is that backdrop for Ewers:

The Ewers living room phenomenon naturally sparked a heavy reaction on social media. Here are some of those reactions:
