WILLMAR — WILLMAR — The Ridgewater College baseball team improved its winning streak to six in a row with a doubleheader sweep of Anoka-Ramsey Community College on Friday at Bill Taunton Stadium.
Ridgewater beat the Golden Rams 8-2 and 7-6.

Ridgewater improves to 11-3 in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference and 14-12 overall. Anoka-Ramsey is 8-6 in the conference and 18-12 overall.
The teams play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday at Castle Field in Anoka.
The Warriors have won 11 of their last 12 games.
In Game 1, Ridgewater ace Joe Liebl got the complete-game victory. The freshman left-hander from Wabasso improved his won-lost record to 4-2 by striking out seven, walking four and allowing six hits and one earned run.
Max Athmann, Garrett Kelly, Sergio Fernandez and Mason Macziewski all had two hits for the Warriors. Athmann is a sophomore from Paynesville. Kelly is a freshman from Dassel-Cokato. Fernandez is a sophomore from Willmar and Macziewski is a sophomore from Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted.
In Game 2, Kelly went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI and Fernandez was 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Dominic Rose, a freshman right-hander from Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, went six innings for the win. He struck out three, walked two and allowed nine hits and four earned runs. Kael Nelson, a freshman right-hander from Hutchinson, got the save, his second of the season.
