LSU football landed a high-end commitment on Monday afternoon.
Four-star cornerback Havon Finney announced his pledge to the Tigers on Monday via social media. He chose LSU over USC and Ohio State, with which he had previously scheduled official visits in June.
The Sierra Canyon High School product in Chatsworth, California, reclassified from the 2027 class to the 2026 class on March 2, opting to forgo his senior year of high school.

Finney took a slight drop in 247Sports’ Composite rankings after the move but nonetheless ranks No. 54 nationally as the No. 7 overall cornerback and No. 10 player in California. The 6-foot-2 defender was primarily recruited by LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond, according to 247Sports.
Finney also held offers from Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Oregon and Oklahoma, among many others.

Finney is LSU’s 10th commit in its 2026 class, which ranks No. 4 nationally. He’s the third defensive back addition of the class, joining four-stars Aiden Hall and Dylan Purter. LSU’s class is led by five-star receiver Tristen Keys, who’s the No. 3-ranked player of the cycle.
