Michigan State football joins Notre Dame, Auburn and Tennessee in offering 4-star edge rusher Rion Jackson of Annapolis, Md.

Michigan State football has extended an offer to a big-time edge rusher from Maryland in the 2027 class.

Rion Jackson of Annapolis, Md. announced on Tuesday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. He posted on his social media X account about the Michigan State offer.

Jackson is listed as a four-star edge rusher in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports’ composite ratings. He also holds a rating of 89.95 in the composite rankings.

Jackson ranks as the No. 30 edge rusher in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2027 class. He is also listed as the No. 7 player from Maryland and No. 300 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State is one of nearly 10 schools that have already extended an offer to Jackson, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Auburn, Maryland, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Toledo and Morgan State.
