They were later taken to the hospital by ambulance. Pirates Manager Derek Shelton addressed the incident in a press conference following the game, saying his thoughts and prayers are with the individual’s family. “The fact of how it went down, lying motionless, it’s extremely unfortunate, that’s an understatement,” Shelton said. The Pirates said the incident happened during the seventh inning. Officials said no additional information will be released at this time. It is unclear what led to the fall or the extent of injuries.
